I can't fight this feeling any more...

I can't fight this feeling any longer
Yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show

I tell myself that I can't hold out forever
I say there is no reason for my fear
'Cause I feel so secure when we're together
You give my life direction, you make everything so clear

Even as I wander, I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window on a cold dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might

And I can't fight this feeling any more
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars forever
'Cause I can't fight this feeling any more
I've forgotten what I started fightin' for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crashing through the door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling any more

My life has been such a whirlwind since I saw you
I've been running around in circles in my mind
And it always seems that I'm following you, girl
'Cause you take me to the places that I thought I'd never find

Even as I wander, I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window on a cold dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might

And I can't fight this feeling any more
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars forever
'Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fightin' for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crashing through your door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling any more

Ooh

Chicago | I Can't Fight This Feeling

I heart this song. =] It holds the most relevance when held up to my current relationship with God. I... feel like I have already said this recently on Xanga. XD

Anyways, it's obviously inspired by the photo below, so have at it. :D

Travelogues

automatons with business suits swinging black boxes,
sequestering the blueprints of daily life
contented, free of care, they rejoice in morning ritual
as they file like drone ant colonies to their office in the sky

I don't ask questions, don't promote demonstration,
don't look for new consensus, don't stray from constitution
if I pierce the complexity I won't find salvation
just the bald and overt truth
of the evil and deception

there is an inner logic,
and we're taught to stay far from it
it is simple and elegant,
but it's cruel and antithetic
and there's no effort to reveal it

graduated mentors stroll in marbled brick porticos
in sagacious dialog they despise their average ways
betraying pomp and discipline, they mold their institution
where they practice exclusion on the masses every day

there is an inner logic,
and we're taught to stay far from it
it is simple and elegant,
but it's cruel and antithetic
and there's no effort to reveal it

decorated warriors drill harmless kids on pavement
simulating tyranny under red alert
protecting the opulent and staging moral standard
they expect redemption of character and self-growth

there is an inner logic,
and we're taught to stay far from it
it is simple and elegant,
but it's cruel and antithetic
and there's no effort to reveal it

(no equality, no opportunity,
no tolerance for the progressive alternative...)
Bad Religion | Inner Logic

Here's the second-to-last batch of Chicago photos. @_@;; Thanks, Carol, for spending practically the entire day showing me around!

This is Carol. I could make the usual complimentary comments about how cute she is (because she is), but I think her adorability shines out the most in her facial expressions... wow!

Big fur

Pretty pretty

Holds up well to close scrutiny

Prom pose! Sort of.

That she is ;)

TARGET: Rats.

Lovely

Model

Gotham City, anyone??

More Gotham. I have more city/Dark Knight photos in the next batch.

This one is for Timbo... I like the light flare.

This shot inspired the lyrics above. I have better shots of the masses' bobbing heads, but I like the light in this one. It's kind of cold and bluish.

Impressive! Sears Tower, I b'lieve.

See what I say about cute faces?? There are a half-dozen more on Flickr.

View from the Sears Tower - Thanks, Tiembo, for getting me in! =] I'm so privileged.

They're the cutest couple.

Group picture! Sorta.

More Gotham

This one is for Angel Chao, whose Crossings avatar has forever burnt this image in my mind in association with her.

There are a TON of revolving doors in Chicago. I think it's brilliant.

So tall the clouds can't compete...

Bean shots. XD Apparently it's actually called "The Cloud Gate." Whooookayyyyy. Is there one in New York as well, or is that just my mind playing tricks on me?

Dawn rising the day I left Chicago

$3.50 T-shirts at Forever 21! =]

I'm off to youth retreat for the fourth time, so I'll be back Monday if I don't find WiFi at the campsite. XD
