I planned this surprise trip for Michael, since I'll be gone for his birthday next weekend.
I did not count on the weather being ridiculously rainy (Sat morning) or chilly (super breezy the whole time). But it was good times anyway.
I also did not count on misplacing my big camera charger, but that is because I fail at life. So all of my pics are shot with the little point-and-shoot.
Napping through a massive thunderstorm is awesome.

Home of Whataburger! (Michael loves it)
Udon noodle soup... I like the self-mixing kinds you get at buffets
Mmmmm, delicious clam chowder at Doc's.
I ate so much of this stuff with my bread that my tongue was on fire when my real food came.
Then we went to play by the waterside... didn't actually get too wet, because it was cold.
Poppy thingies. Morning glories?
We chased away those gulls to go stand on their little dry spot. "Gulls! We want to be friends!"
The ripples were cool. Look how clear!
Intrepid explorer discovers land
We think it's funny to emo-walk.
I like the gulls against the blue sky
This was funny... it's powered by pedaling motions
