I planned this surprise trip for Michael, since I'll be gone for his birthday next weekend.

I did not count on the weather being ridiculously rainy (Sat morning) or chilly (super breezy the whole time). But it was good times anyway.

I also did not count on misplacing my big camera charger, but that is because I fail at life. So all of my pics are shot with the little point-and-shoot.

Napping through a massive thunderstorm is awesome.

Yummy gumbo

I found this all-you-can-eat seafood buffet place that was only $13.99/person. Not the best food ever, but I sure ate like it was.

Dude, check out how cheap the hot dogs are! ($1) Our movie tickets were only $6 each with no discounts. We watched Bounty Hunter and it was hilarious.

Then we went to play by the waterside... didn't actually get too wet, because it was cold.

The water was surprisingly clean for how brown it looked. Anything is better than Galveston, which LOOKS like you're walking around in gumbo.

We chased away those gulls to go stand on their little dry spot. "Gulls! We want to be friends!"
